after 500 Hrs   • Compressor Motor -Check Hot Alignment.
every 5,000 Hrs every 10,000 Hrs every 25,000 Hrs
  • Compressor Shaft Seal - Check and repair it if abnormal.
     
  • Compressor Unloader - Check and repair it if abnormal.
     
  • Suction Strainer - Dismantle and clean - first 200 hours.
     
  • Compressor Motor - Grease.
  • Compressor Bearings - Dismantle and check. Replace if necessary.
     
  • Oil Pump - Dismantle and check. Replace if necessary.
     
  • Compressor Oil - Submit oil sample for periodic analysis in a scheduled program (6-12 months). Please follow manufacturer's recommendations for oil type & brand.
     
  • Coalescer Element - Replace.
     
  • Oil Separator - Flush and Drain.
  • Compressor Thrust Bearings - Dismantle and check. Replace if necessary.
     
  • Compressor Main/Side Bearings - Replace.
     
  • Compressor O-Ring - Replace.
     
  • Compressor Gasket - Replace.
 
Reciprocating Compressors

Maintenance:
 
Oil Level - Check daily.
Compressor - Check head temperatures.
Oil Pressure - Check daily. 30-40psig net.
Compressor Motor & Belts - Check daily.
Compressor Cuno Filter - Turn handle 1/2 turn daily.
Control, Safety Interlocks & Set Points - Check weekly.

Six Month Interval Yearly or Beginning of Season
  • Compressor Shaft Seal - Check for oil or refrigerant leak.
     
  • Compressor Unloader - Check and repair it if abnormal.
     
  • Suction Strainer - Dismantle and clean.
     
  • Compressor Motor - Grease.
  • Compressor Bearings - Dismantle and check. Replace if necessary.
     
  • Oil Pump - Dismantle and check. Replace if necessary.
     
  • Oil Regulating Valve - Dismantle and clean.
     
  • Compressor Oil - Submit oil sample for periodic analysis in a scheduled program. Drain crankcase and refill as per MYCOM specs. Clean and replace internal oil strainer.
     
  • Suction and Discharge Valve Assemblies - Dismantle and repair if worn.
